Arvada law regulates the keeping of livestock, as well as smaller domestic pets and fowl. Livestock, including horses, cattle, sheep, and goats, must remain at least 100 feet from any neighboring house.
While domestic pigs are prohibited, pot-bellied pigs may be kept as pets on the condition that they are less than 70 pounds and registered with Animal Management. Rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese and pigeons must remain at least 35 feet from any neighboring house.
Prohibited exotic animals include primates, poisonous reptiles, non-poisonous snakes longer than 6 feet, crocodilians, wolves, coyotes, skunks, bears, and lions, among others.
